A week ago, our family went on a little trip to Bethlehem. It was very cold and snowy that night but we made it OK. For 30 minutes or so, we walked through the busy streets of Bethlehem. There were a lot of people who came to be counted for the census. Our son, Josiah, had fun with the sheep and donkeys that we saw there. As you can see, he asked to have his picture taken with one of the shepherd boys. We also saw Bethlehem artifacts and made acquaintances with different people from Bethlehem. The highlights of our night in Bethlehem was seeing the baby Jesus laying on the manger with Mary and Joseph. And of course, the hot cider and yummy cookies served after our walk while listening to carolers. Everybody else had cookies, except me. I had too much sweets that day already and I have been trying to lose weight. My goal is to do it without taking diet pills.
Anyhow, that huge Christmas presentation which relived the night in Bethlehem when Jesus was born was sponsored by one of the local churches in town. They did such an awesome job in this very unique Christmas presentation. I sure felt like I was in Bethlehem that night!
