She Is A Joy

She sure is! I am talking about my little girl, Mahalia, who will turn 11 months this Friday. The other night, I was pretty upset about something. Though she is still a baby, she has a pretty sensitive spirit. She came closer to me and sat on my lap. With her sweetest voice, she whispered saying, "Mama . . . Mama . . . Mama". Yes, three times with an irresistibly sweet smile on her face. I kind of ignored her for a while there. Since she did not get the response she was probably hoping for, she leaned closer to me and kissed me on my cheek and nose. She kept giving me kisses until I responded to her. I just melted! 

My little girl is so sweet and so precious. Of course, my big boy, too! He is a good big brother to Mahalia. She calls him "Kuya" which means "Big Brother" in my native language. My, I still could not find the exact words to describe how blessed we are to have one of each, a boy and a girl. They are truly a blessing from God! Because I married in my mid thirties, I thought I would never have kids anymore. Thank God He opened my womb and gave us these two very precious little ones.
